many new milestones

I have been so busy lately that I haven't had tome to post. Kate has done so much in the last few weeks that I am not sure where to begin. I cannot believe she is 5 months old already!!Everything goes into Kate's mouth now. Toys, hands, car seat straps, my fingers, my necklace...whatever she can get her hands on. It is crazy how quickly she pulls objects to her mouth. They are like magnets! She is definetley "talking" more now. It is funny to watch her hear herself. She loves to scream out and wait for my reaction. It makes for a fun game between the two of us.


Kate is more of a people person now. She is going to more people now and not crying when others hold her. What a relief that is. It was hard to see her cry when my friends would hold her, especially when our parents would hold her. I have come to the conclusion that is just her disposition. She likes mommy and daddy. It doesn't matter if she saw our parents every day or once a month, I know she would still have her preferences and that is ok. I am ok with that now, thank goodness. I had a hard time with that at first. It was my wish that she would go to our parents just like she does with us but that is a perfect scenario and not reality. We did have huge success in San Antonio last weekend. She went to my parents and grandparents and anyone else who wanted to hold her and never put up a fight. It was funny to see her with Ma. She loved watching her coo at her and make funny faces. Kate was laughing out loud. I had never seen her laugh like that before. Wish I would have had the video camera!


Kate had her first bites of rice cereal today. She LOVED it. AT forst she spit it out but then got the hang of it and smacked her lips for more. It was so cute! Can't wait to feed her it again!
