What we have been up to..

Where do I even begin? I can honestly say I have wanted to post a handful of times but keep getting side tracked and even overwhelmed at the fact that I have not posted since September! So I decided I am not even going to attempt to catch up - I will just include some highlights over the past 2 months.

Life with 3 kiddos is dang hard! I am not going to lie! I mean I totally LOVE it but they out number us now and that means we have to be on all the time - and we totally are not- ha! It takes a lot of patience and prayer many days. I have probably lost my cool more times than not but they show me Gods grace every day :) thank goodness for His grace! we are getting the hang of it though. Mr Dad is AMAZING - what a husband....I could not do this without him. He loves all of us so much and does whatever he can to help me not go insane - like telling me to go take a walk or go to the grocery store WITHOUT kids! Such a luxury these days! Thank you my sweet husband. I love you more than words could ever say!

they are so stinkin cute! yes, kate is nursing a giraffe.....haha

The girls are doing great with Colin. They love him so much and get a kick out of him when they can make him smile and laugh. I do too! Colin is an awesome little boy - so laid back and just goes with the flow. Colin and the car seat are really tight these days - he is always in it - heading to school, dance, picking up from school, errands...thank goodness he is a fan of the car seat unlike 2 others I won't mention :) he has started really smiling and laughing. Even after 3 kids I can still sit and just listen to him laugh and watch him smile. It is the best! He smiles and coos at almost anyone. It is such a joy to watch him grow and a bit sad too that he is growing up so fast. He still has ALL of his hair. This is definitley his trademark. Everyone makes a comment about his hair. It is starting to lay flat more but still sticks straight up over most of his head. I just love it!

Another new thing is we are MOVING! yes, we are super crazy BUT we found a great house in an area we LOVE. We are moving by TCU - such a fabulous part of town by everything - the zoo, museum, TARGET, and Sprouts ( a farmers market grocery store) is coming in just down the street, not to mention central market is but minutes away. This all happened the first week of Colin's life. We saw the house, went and looked at it, made an offer and it was ours Oct 15. Now just to sell our current home. Yikes! This house is the total opposite of our current home. It is older ( built in the 40's), has trees! and a yard!, and is smaller. Yes, I said smaller. I am sure many people think we are crazy to leave our big house we have now that has everything a family "needs" - gameroom, playroom, study, rooms for everyone - BUT you know what, we don't need any of that fluff. After living here we have decided that for us - this is not us. We want smaller, we want a cozy home where we know where our kiddos are - especially because they are all still so young. The world tells us we need bigger, better, prettier, you fill in the blank....we have decided we want to simplify and get rid of all that, excuse me, crap-ola that we thought we needed. This home is better for us. It has been refreshing to get rid of and keep only the things I love. I can say this all because we have chosen to get smaller and get rid of. I know there are so many out there that have to downsize and have to get rid of - but I challenge you to embrace the simpler life :) I know we are embracing it. Maybe we are crazy or maybe we are the smart ones! haha! And maybe we move in and decide we need bigger but for now we are excited for our new adventure. We move Dec10. SO EXCITED!

Ok, here are a few pictures of the kiddos and things going on with them. I don't know when I will post next, and I am ok with that :)

halloween ballerinas thanksgiving feast in kara's class

daddy got to come enjoy the feast too!!!

And by the way, the last 2 days I have had all 3 kids asleep for naps at the same time. To me, this is a HUGE success and deserves a glass of wine at the end of the day :) hehe....

Thanks for the update. The kiddos are so precious- especially the little man Colin. He is growing up so fast! I am so happy for you and your move. I love your attitude and outlook on all the "stuff". You are a great mom and a great friend, Christy!
