Beach Trip

We just returned from our annual beach trip with the Lyons and my parents. I have dreamed of this vacation my whole life - seriously. Not because the place is 5 star or the beautiful gulf beach water but because of the memories made there. Growing up my family ventured down south every summer to Port Aransas for a week of pool and beach time. So many wonderul memories surface from there and I always dreamed that one day I would take my kids there. It was very surreal to be in the pool I grew up in swimming with my mom and dad to swimming with my own daughter. Kind of a tear jerker :) Anyway, the trip was great and it was so fun to be with our missed friends from FW. We love the Lyons so very much and wish we could still be living a few doors down from one another. It rained most of the time while were there but I came to realize that it really did not matter because with a baby you really don't spend every waking hour in the sun even if there was sun! Between naps and feeding there really isn't a lot of tie allotted to water time anyway. I guess in the end it was fine that it rained. We got to hang out with friends and family, play games, and eat good food. What more could you ask for?
Hopefully next time we will come back with a sun kissed glow instead of frizzy hair! ( for those of you not blessed with curly hair - Corpus humidity plus rain equals unmanageable hair!)
