First Tastes....

We started Kara on rice cereal this week. We figured with her rapid weight gaining and her love for nursing that it was time to start the cereal. She loves it. Kate is fascinated with her eating from a spoon. She stepped right in and wanted to feed Kara. It was pretty cute to watch. Although Kate now thinks that Kara can eat anything that she does. I caught her giving Kara a goldfish today - yikes!

**Video sidenote: I am way too impatient in this video with Kate. Did you see how I grab the spoon from Kate. Man, Christy, slow down! Glad I see myself in action - patience is a virtue - especially with a toddler. Also, the loud noise in the background is our dryer. There was a jacket with a zipper in there making that noise. (I was asked what that was)

Oh my gosh. I love how Kate opens her mouth at the same time. Too, too precious. I don't know how you do it, Christy. You are amazing at this job!!

Are you making sure to tell Kate that Hay-yee is coming to see her? She has probably forgotten me by now, haha! Hay-yee is coming and she is bringing gifts from Europe to have favorite girls in the whole wide world! See you in a few weeks, sweet friend!

P.S. Tell Kameron congrats on the game and good luck (ugh, that was hard to say!).

Oh Christy, you weren't too impatient at all, you were wonderful as always!! That was so precious! I love how Kate opened her mouth, just like a real mommy does when she feeds her baby!

Super cute- thanks for sharing. I love little Kara leaning into Kate with her mouth open, patiently waiting for a bite. It reminds me of a little bird. So sweet. Kate is such a thoughtful little sister, not only feeding Kara, but also demonstrating with each bite how to open her mouth.
