Happy Birthday my sweet girl...

Happy Birthday sweet Kate. I love you so very much. I cannot believe you are already two - such a big girl but still my baby. These past two years have gone by so fast. There are so many things that you have accomplished in the past year - You have become quite an independent girl. It has been so much fun for your daddy and I to watch you grow and learn about the world around you. We pray for you sweet Kate every day. Your amazing God has given you such wonderful qualities and you are begining to show us what they are.

I think the one that sticks out to me the most is your passion. You have a great passion for many things - the park, playing with playdoh, seeing your friends, the outside, warmed up milk, and most recently Christmas lights. You are still trying to figure out how to channel that passion but I know you will figure it out one day. I know sometimes daddy and I get upset with your choices on how to react to things but we love you and are just trying to help you learn. When you want sometiung you do not give up. That is a great quality to have. You have a passion and drive for things already and I hope you never loose that.

Another thing I have loved seeing is how sweet you are with your friends. I love that you get so excited to get to play with your friend during the week. It is so much fun to see you run up to Luke or Bryce or Cooper and give them a big hug ( yes, these are all boys - not many girl friends yet!) I think it is very cute how you ask about them and care for them already. I also love how you have really become such a great big sister to Kara. You are always wanting to know where she is at all times. You have been such a big helpler to me - getting her diapers for me, helping bathe her, feeding her cereal...You do such a great job with her. I know it is hard for you to understand why mommy and daddy cannot always hold you while we are holding Kara but you have really done a good job with that. It has been hard for you at times but I hope you know that we love you so much. Kara is so lucky to have such a great big sister. We know you love her so much and I hope you know she loves you too. She is always watching you and smiles so big when you come around. Remember she will always be watching you so you have a big responsibility ahead of you as a big sister. I know you are going to set such a great example to her. I can tell you are going to be such a compassionate and loving friend and sister as you get older. Such a great quality.

Another thing that has been fun to see is you singing. You love to sing. Whether it's the ABC's or 5 little monkeys or twinkle twinkle - you are always singing. Girl - I hope you always sing. It is a beautiful noise to hear.

There are so many other things that you have shown us over the last two years and I could go on and on. But these are the highlights for me. I thank our great God everyday for your life. I pray that you will come to know Him and learn to follow in His ways. He has been so good to me and daddy and I hope that you will understand His greatness one day like we do. Happy Happy Birthday my angel. I cannot wait to see what you have in store for us in the next year!
