Yes, I said it - SUMMER PRESCHOOL! BOTH, yes, BOTH girls started last week 2 days a week. Ahhhhhhhh.....I think it took longer for me to adjust than the girls. I bawled the first day I dropped them off. Not just little tears but tears where I could not get a word out. I will blame it on the hormones mainly but it was a bit sad to see Kara go off to school. Kate has been a pro at this for the last 2 years BUT Kara is the baby still in my eyes - although almost 2. Kara was a champ though and had a wonderful first day. The teachers said she cried the 5 seconds it took me to leave the hallway and she was cheerful and playing the rest of the day. Kate had a little bit harder time - I kind of expected it because new school, new teachers, and she is going through a bit of seperation anxiety again with me. I am sure she senses all the changes about to take place ( new baby, new room, new school...) BUT, she is still doing well and her teachers are just fantastic.
I have tried to rest and not do too much while they are gone. I have managed to clean out the pantry and all the "junk" drawers in the kitchen this week. And catch up on some DVR'ed movies while eating lunch. Ahhhhhhhh.....that is really nice. I plan to get baby's room more in order next week. It is nice just to have some time time to myself before he comes and life becomes a family of 5!
