Well, we did it. We moved the girls into a room together. I know what you are all thinking..."what in the world are you guys thinking??? A 3 year old and a 2 year old...together???" Yes, we are crazy BUT we really wanted the girls to experience sharing a room, plus we wanted to keep a guest room. We decided on bunk beds - twin on top and full size on bottom. We talked about it for weeks and the girls were really excited about the idea of being in the same room - especially Kara. It had been a fight every night while reading books anyway when it was time to go to her room to sleep. So we set them up ( Kameron set them up :) ) and began the adventure 2 weeks ago. I will have to say, it has been a surprisingly easy transition. We knew Kate would do fine, but Kara has done great going from a crib to a full size bed. She went through a week of waking in the middle of the night but we just left her and she got used to the new set up. The only thing that is not so fun is Kara wakes Kate up before 7am. We hear them talking in their room around 6:45am and then hear the pitter patter of them - purses in tow - coming down the stairs together around 7am. At least they are happy and coming down together. Hopefully we can get them to either stay upstairs or better yet, sleep in!
