So today Kate made a new milestone....she held onto a hanging toy for longer than a few seconds. She actually held onto it for a good 5 minutes! I never thought I would be so happy to see a person hold a toy! It is amazing to watch this little human discover new things about the world around her. Right now it is cause and effect. "I touch this toy and it moves. I think I will do it again and again and again..."
How simple of a world a baby knows. It has really got me to thinking about how un-simple my life is. I just clutter it with mess - It seems like there are days where I simply fill it up for the sake of filling the day up. And in the end it only makes me tired and wishing for a day without stuff. Since having Kate my life has simplified. My day is not about me anymore - it is about her and Kameron. It has been a good lesson in being selfless. Not that I have at all figured it out but it has taught me to put them first. Hard to do - very hard to do.
